A Different Kind of Retirement: Spotlight Debbie Bowers

I’ve been in the direct sales world for most of my career as an employee of a large, well-known company. I was a recruiter and trainer, and I was very successful in that role, earning trips and awards as a top producer.

A Different Kind of RetirementI retired from that role a couple years ago, but soon returned to the company in a consulting position. During that time, I had 5 different companies reach out to me, attempting to recruit me.

Then Beth reached out to me. I wasn’t necessarily looking for a different opportunity, but I also wasn’t close-minded. A mutual friend had put us in touch, so I was open to hearing what she had to say. At the time she reached out, however, my mom had recently passed away due to cancer, and I had too much on my plate.

I asked Beth to touch base again in a few months, and when she did, the timing was right. After my years of working 80 hours a week, I had set my goals to start getting healthier. So when I looked at the company, it was a perfect match for me personally as well as professionally. I was blown away by the products, their quality as well as their price point. And the compensation plan was truly beyond compare.

Up until this time, I knew that I would be able to have a comfortable retirement, but I wasn’t necessarily going to be able to do all the fun things that I enjoy. When I saw what this company could offer me, I realized that this could really change my life. More importantly, it could be a vehicle for me to help others in the same way.

A Different Kind of Retirement: Spotlight on Debbie BowersI partnered with Beth and this team right away, but on a part-time basis and later decided to increase my efforts when I recognized my consulting job would be ending soon. I’m so glad I did not wait until my other position ended. This was so easy to maneuver around my other job and my personal life.

Now, I get to enjoy a different kind of retirement: one where I can pursue the things I truly enjoy, such as traveling, visiting my grandchildren, and volunteering. Since my business can be done from anywhere, I can set my own hours and work from any location.

I love being my own boss and having the flexibility that this business brings.

A Different Kind of Retirement: Debbie BowersFinancially, I’m drawing less from my retirement than I anticipated, thanks to my income from my business. This extra income allows me to do things like head to Myrtle Beach for 2 weeks to visit a friend and attend a wedding.

Not only that, I’m beginning to reach some of my health goals. I’ve been able to cut my blood pressure medication in half, and soon I should be able to be off of it completely. Since using this healthier product line, my friends and family tell me that I look 10 years younger!

I’m so grateful that I took the time to consider my options and look at this team and this business model. I now get to experience a retirement where I’m healthier, have more financial flexibility, and can use my skills to make a difference in the world around me.
